Designing a Perfect Masterpiece of Minimalism and Modern Living at AAK Avenue
Hulhumale'
A contemporary residential concept for Hulhumalé, shaped through design advisory to align architecture, interiors, spatial planning, buyer aspiration, and everyday liveability into a refined urban address.
AAK Avenue was developed as a residential concept for Hulhumalé, shaped around the idea of refined urban living with a clear contemporary character. Through Perrlich’s Design Advisory approach, the project was reviewed and directed to ensure that its architecture, interiors, spatial planning, and market positioning worked together as a coherent residential experience. The aim was not simply to create attractive apartments, but to define a development that feels relevant to the lifestyle expectations of modern homeowners and investors.
The design direction embraced restraint, proportion, and clarity. Rather than relying on excessive ornamentation, the project focused on clean architectural lines, efficient layouts, calm interior moods, and a strong sense of everyday usability. Each building was considered as part of a wider residential identity, where the exterior form, material expression, natural light, and internal flow contribute to a development that feels composed, practical, and desirable.
Inside the apartments, the review focused on how each space could support comfort, ease, and long-term liveability. Living areas were shaped as open and welcoming settings for family life, rest, and social connection. Furniture placement, circulation, lighting, and visual balance were considered to help create homes that feel spacious without being excessive, elegant without being impractical, and simple without feeling empty.
The kitchens were approached as active daily spaces where appearance and performance must work side by side. Storage, appliance integration, work surfaces, and movement were considered to support both convenience and visual order. Bedrooms were reviewed as private zones for rest and retreat, with attention given to calm finishes, functional storage, and a sense of quiet separation from the busier areas of the home. Bathrooms were treated as compact wellness spaces, where fixtures, finishes, and storage details contribute to comfort, cleanliness, and a more refined daily routine.
Externally, the project was assessed for its visual presence within Hulhumalé’s growing urban fabric. The design direction sought to create a residential address that feels current, confident, and commercially appealing, while remaining grounded in practical construction and market expectations. Through this process, Perrlich helped align the project’s architectural language with buyer aspiration, lifestyle value, and development purpose.
AAK Avenue demonstrates how design advisory can strengthen a residential project by connecting aesthetics with function, market relevance, and user experience. It stands as a considered urban living concept, where design discipline, spatial intelligence, and residential comfort come together to create a development with lasting appeal.
